Abstract Towards a more advantageous relationship through Asia Pacific
Biomedical Engineering Research Network --
The Asia Pacific rim regions have allied research network relationships with the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE), including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. Young biomedical engineering (BME) emerging leaders from across these regions were nominated by each country’s BME society to take part in the series of site visits more than a dozen BME laboratories. In Sendai, wide variety of biomedical research topics on drug delivery systems, nanoparticles, elastography technologies, and artificial cardiovascular support by four researchers selected in these countries.
