Abstract Recent research on neuroplasticity confirms what the great artists
demonstrated: some of the supreme works are produced in later life. In this presentation, we look at art created by Michelangelo, Picasso, Matisse, Georgia O'Keefe, Hokusai and others. We examine in depth the self-portraits of Rembrandt over the lifespan, to discover the surprising truth about creativity in later life.
